Yeah, Okay.
So, I decided to begin with a Movie review, the Movie: Hancock.
So, a brief run through of the storyline:
John Hancock (Will Smith) is a superhero; bullet proof, super-strength, the ability to fly, the works...
But, he's also a raging alcoholic with anger management issues and is generally despised by the public, as each of his 'heroic' acts causes millions of dollars of damage.
This continues until he saves the life of PR representative Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) of the All Heart project trying to save the world by (unsuccessfully) convincing large corporations to donate their merchandise to the world for free in exchange for the brand logo.
Upon having his life saved by Hancock, Ray decides to rewrite Hancock's public image by cleaning up his act, much to the disaproval of Ray's wife Mary Embrey (Charlize Theron)...
The Movie begins with a dramatic action scene, and continues steadily with action scene after action scene. But each scene contains, and is preceded by humour, primarily based around Hancock himself.
The storyline continues with Ray attempting to repair Hancock's public image and attitude towards humanity, things spiral out of control with a warrant for Hancock's arrest.
Ray decides that it would be good for Hancock's PR image for him to go to jail, and for the city to 'miss' him.
The story then takes the twist of the addition of a 'superwoman' like character (in the form of Ray's wife) who reveals that Hancock is himself over 5,000 Years old. And they are the last remaining of their kind.
The storyline seems to go down hill from this point on, as is seems like the story was just turned on it's head and seems to spiral out of control.
Definatly unique in it's genre, the most oddball superhero film I've ever encountered.
